“The Public Prosecutor of Brescia has ordered the seizure of Green Hill, the company Montichiari (Brescia) beagle breeding dogs for vivisection laboratories, long under fire from animal rights organizations. The operation, conducted by the Forest Service, is leading to the seizure of beagle dogs, both puppies and adults, and the entire structure for a total of about 5 hectares. Among the offenses alleged mistreatment of the animals. Green Hill is at the moment under a massive police raid with dozens of policemen, carabinieri, forest services guards and political policemen inside the place. They are identifying and numbering all dogs, while the structure and all the animals will be “confiscated” for “animal cruelty” charges! This does not mean they will be directly taken out of the structure, but they will be definitely under legal control and will not be sold until new events. This police action will take a long time and we are waiting for news from our lawyer. our activists are there and the press is very very interested. we asked to be the legal representatives for the dogs after the confiscation, while it seems at the moment the police would name representative the city council, which is openly on green Hill side. This is not the closure but is an important step in a moment where the Senate is deciding the future of this farm.” (Tino Verducci)
This is a rare and decisive victory! It will be sealed if and when this investigation is over, all remained dogs are rehomed, and Green Hill Lab is as dead as the legitimations for vivisection. Congratulations GH activists, all of Italy, all anti-vivisection abolitionists, to all the animals saved and to be saved!!! Let us savor this moment and grow stronger!

this is proof that when we have the numbers behind us and a couple of key politicians, mountains can be moved here in Italy. overjoyed beyond words, let’s hope the dogs will be rehomed and not handed over to the city council.

And it turns out that this Holmes character who shot up the movie theater and killed almost 80 people was a vivisector! He worked in a neuroscience “research” lab doing genetic experiments. (If he didn’t actually use animals that would be truly unusual.) Neuroscience experiments are among the most sadistic, where they restrain animals and implant things in their brains and further torture them, till death finally, after making the maximum $$$ blood money off them. One more piece of evidence to put another nail in the coffin for the vivisection mill. Thanks to Ruth for sharing this with me today.
Sorry, misinformation in my last comment, but most people probably are more up on these details than I am; Holmes SHOT 71 people leaving 12 dead (or so I now understand), did not “kill nearly 80 people.”
Laura, your kill facts were wrong for this guy, but has it been definitely determined this guy was a vivisector?? That is excellent ammo, if so…
Often pain killers are withheld on these animals being experimented on. I wonder if he also was a hunter.
A wikipedia article states about behavioral neuroscience that, “Most typically, experiments in behavioral neuroscience involve non-human animal models (such as rats and mice, and non-human primates)…”
If you check this link: http://neuroscience.byu.edu/Portals/69/docs/faculty_research.pdf , you’ll see that neuroscientists are into creating ongoing scientific sounding projects to keep their careers going; that would mostly involve animal studies with their inconclusive nature leading to ever more “studies,” including humans. That particular school is Brigham Young University. If you search for the words “primate” and “animal” in there you’ll see 2 clear references to sadistic animal studies.
So since Holmes the spree shooter worked in a neuroscience lab, he was almost definitely a vivisector. I just can’t find anything clearly stating what exactly he did in there. If anyone finds that I hope they’ll share here by replying.

She’s pregnant, a symbol of every ‘puppy machine’ for vivisectors. Today she has a name, family, friends, saw sun, touched grass; real life in freedom! She’s named ‘Vegan’ to symbolize legitimate stance against animal slavery. Huge thank-you to all who made it possible, who fight for closure of Green Hill! The fight goes on.
I Am 100% against vivisection. It is torture to cut an animal open while it is still alive. This is sick experimentation and not necessary.
